Bret Hendricks

Bret_HendricksBret Hendricks, EdD, is an Associate Professor in Counselor Education at Texas Tech University. His experience encompasses community agency counseling, private practice, special education counseling and treatment center administration. His research interests include counseling ethics, adolescent depression, and using creative techniques, especially music techniques, in counseling. Dr. Hendricks has published in counseling journals and textbooks and is a frequent presenter at state, national, and international conferences. Throughout his career he has been and continues to be involved in professional counseling organizations. He is a past-president of the International Association of Marriage and Family Counselors, and has held numerous other positions with state and national organizations. Dr. Hendricks is widely recognized for his work in advocacy for the counseling profession, counselors and the clients counselors serve.
