Letter From the President

Our Winter Conference was yet another good conference. Our seasoned speakers: Michael Devine, M.S., LPC, Stephen Armstrong, Ph.D., Harold Duncan, Ph.D., and Stephen Freeman, Ph.D. did a great job of presenting useful information.

The topics covered: Humanistic Sandtray Therapy, Our Age of Anxiety, The Place of Principles in Ethics, and Bully Hurts: An Exploration into the Long Term Neurological Effects of Bullying on Children and Implication for Treatment, were all relevant topics that counselors in various backgrounds could find very advantageous.

Also, it was good to see so many familiar faces, meet new counselors, and learn valuable material. NMCA’s conferences are always a great time to network with others in the mental health profession.

I f you have not attended a NMCA conference, you don’t want to miss this next one. NMCA will host our Summer Conference on Friday, June 17, 2011. More details to come.

It’s Time to Get Connected! Get Involved!
